Re: On Demand Failure Again!!

I've had the same problem for over 5 years, several engineer visits and nothing done.  I have now gone over to BT TV as of Saturday so I rang Virgin's retention line today to cancel my TV service and was told that I would have to pay a £79 early disconnection fee which I disputed and reiterated that I have been paying for a glorified recording box for over 5 years.  I told the Advisor that she could waive the fee to which I was told my contract doesn't end until February so told her I know this but seeing as I've not had a proper service for over 5 years she could either waive the fee or credit me back my monies for the last 5 years which she said she couldn't do either. I asked to speak to someone higher and as always was told there was nobody available.  I finished by saying they are not getting another penny out of me and I will be cancelling my direct debit - which I have done. How can we be charged for something we are not getting and then be treated so badly when after 25+ years with Virgin and it's forebears we've had enough?

My previous posts on this issue have been archived but it's obvious this is a problem that Virgin cannon fix but are still happy for customers to pay for.

What is the problem you've been having?

Maybe able to get you some help on here.

Cancelling DD is your choice but rarely ends well where VM's debt management is concerned.

Thank you so much for your reply it really did help.  I have now moved to BT TV and after emailing and Tweeting the CEO the Virgin Executive Team have released me from my contract given all the difficulties that I have had for the past 5 years.
