Power Cut

Earlier today our area suffered a power cut of about two minutes, we were watching on our V6 box which obviously switched off, the  v6 came back on after the power was back but did not do start up and was back on the channel we had it on before the power cut but with two issues, the screen is bright pink and we have lost all sound !!!

Our other v6 in the bedroom is fine and was not being watched at the time of the power cut.

Any ideas anyone ???

Re: Power Cut

Hi nashbeach,

Pink screens on TV's, set top boxes, dvd players, games consoles etc are normally caused by the HDMI cable.

Try disconnectiing the HDMI cable, or use a different HDMI cable/socket

Also try rebooting the V6 box and TV

Re: Power Cut

Hi under these circumstances, a reboot is always the first thing to do, then follow newapollos advice re the HDMI cable. Regards Micky

Re: Power Cut

I pulled out HDMI leads, two of them, one to amp then from amp to splitter put the same ones back in again and all back to normal !
Strange that the power cut would do that to the cables !
