Dementia friendly box operated by voice control to switch tv on and off is there such a thing

Hi @Nickyb1966 

The only box  with the voice  control. is the 360 which is based on the horizon software.

It will switch both the TV and the 360 box off if paired correctly and the TV uses  CEC. Different manufacturers have different names for it, for example

  • Sony - 'BraviaSync'
  • Philips - 'Easylink'
  • LG - 'Simplink'
  • Samsung - 'Anynet+'
  • Toshiba - 'CE-Link' or 'Regza Link'

The 360 is  completely different to the older TIVO boxes and with lots of functions missing. It would also mean the suer tting used to the new operating system. Some of the differences are shown in <<< this thread >>>

Hey Nickyb1966, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community I am sorry to hear the remote is not working for you.

I understand this can be frustrating, however as mentioned we only have one remote which is voice activated and that is the 360 one.

We do have a larger remote with bigger buttons if this would help at all?
