Playback issue and pixelation

Hi my box has started pixelating and stuttering when playing back recordings and using live pause.

I've checked my connections etc and done a reboot, but still not fixed it.

any help?

Re: Playback issue and pixelation

Good morning @davidh007

Welcome to the forums and thank you for taking the time to post.

So that I can assist you further, are you able to let me know how is your box connected to the internet? is it via WiFi or an Ethernet cable?

Kind regards,

Zak_M

Re: Playback issue and pixelation

Thank you for coming back to me.

Are you able to try and connect it via Ethernet cable and see if you still have the same issues?

Kind regards,

Zak_M

I'm late to this thread and it may have been resolved by now, but.... all those functions you describe are common to the box's hard drive being used.

OnDemand & streaming uses the internet (which is where the home-hub connection comes in), but if your box has a hard drive fault, it would cause exactly the symptoms you describe.

Re: Playback issue and pixelation

Hi there @davidh007

Thank you for your previous replies, I just wanted to pop back to see how things were looking with your box and if you have been able to connect this via Ethernet at all?

Thank you very much to @japitts for your further assistance!

Re: Playback issue and pixelation

Hi, this problem happens on playback of recordings that I have in the box already as well.

unfortunately I’m unable to connect it via Ethernet due to its location.

Re: Playback issue and pixelation

Thank you for responding @davidh007 and no problem.

We just need to check what resolution the set top box is broadcasting at. Please can you go to:

Home > Help and Settings > Settings > Video Output.

What number is next to the video output format? If it is not already on the highest resolution, can you please try selecting change settings and seeing if a higher one is available. Also does the selected format have "not supported" next to it at all?

Thank you.

Re: Playback issue and pixelation

Thank you for letting me know. Can I also just check, are able to watch DVD's on this TV or stream shows for example via Netflix? If so do they show the same issues?

Thank you.
