You've not mentioned any problems with live TV, so presumably that's OK? Try pausing a live programme for a short while and watch it delayed by a few minutes. This is also a recording and uses the hard drive in the same way.

Does this pixellate and break-up? You have a failing hard drive if so.

Hi @burkey58

Thank you for your post and welcome to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm so sorry to hear you're having some trouble with your recordings pixelating. Is this happening with all recordings, or only certain ones? Can you record something new and confirm if that's impacted too? Can you also confirm if you're having trouble watching any live content or Catch Up content?

Thanks,

Hi, The same thing was happening to my V6 box. Basically it was pixelating on recordings and catch up. I Finally got through to VM and had to explain the issue to 3 different people! But Basically an engineer came out and changed the V6 box as we had had it since 2017 and as I presumed it was the Hard Drive. Also the engineer changed the coaxial cable going into the box as he said we had older type cable and can cause the pixelating. Also make sure the coaxial going into your modem is updated too.

Catchup & OnDemand doesn't use the hard drive, it uses the internet.

There's no need to replace any other cabling- modem or otherwise - unless there's a fault with it.

Yes it does it on live TV and recordings, I have paused live TV but it not affect the picture.

Thank you for your response @burkey58 Can you let us know if this happens with multiple shows you are trying to record or a particular one? Also, how long has the issue been ongoing?

Thanks,
