For the last week or so my picture is breaking up on recordings and using catch up/on demand. Strangely it doesn't happen every time though, but is obviously still an issue.
I have tried all the suggestions several times like re-setting the box, turning it off and on, and unplugging from the mains but nothing helps.
It is very frustrating. I recorded a 2 hour programme on Sunday night which I am desperate to watch but it's just impossible.

There's 2 possible issues here..
Pixellation is normally the result of poor TV signal - either your power levels are out of kilter, or there's a fault.
VOD (Video on Demand) doesn't use your TV signal but is carried over your internet connection, slow speeds there tend to cause buffering & stuttering, not pixellation so much.
As far as recordings go, if the TV picture was pixellating when you were recording, so will the resultant recording.
