Paid for HD sports but greyed out

Renegotiated contract with Virgin. Contract says HD sky sports package included. Yes but Not HD. Rung and been told it’s not on package. Rang back and been told their mistake is on package needs activating. 12 hours later still not working. Going to cancel and go to the opposition if this isn’t sorted. Average wait for call to be answered 48 minutes!! Virgin - PM me!!

And whilst I sympathise with the call wait times, perhaps use speakerphone and get on with something else... or a forum team should pick this up in a few days. I'm not justifying the call queues (which I don't think can be justified) but just trying offer ways of dealing with them.

and here too.

Sky no longer sell sky sports SD on its own.  HD is standard on Sky.

Surely after the new rights deal VM must be buying sky sports HD as standard.   They should no longer be asking for a surcharge for Sky sports HD.

bigger + sports now includes sky sport HD as standard, but it seems the agents selling sky do not know about this.  

What is going on can VM please explain

Only the commercial and marketing people in Sky & Virgin would know the details of the new rights deal, I suggest.

Whilst I agree there appears to currently be a disconnect somewhere between VM-advertising and VM-billing (which they need to address), surmising on what the wholesale agreement contains, is just that!!

It would be good if a VM agent picked this up and acted as a champion.

VM should not be advertising one product, but only selling a poorer version of the product.

 

VM please help your paying loyal customers.

Good Luck!

I paid for a full 12 months based on a deal offered over the phone with Sky Sports HD + BT Sport 4K.

Didn't really use either as other half was down the pub watching the football most of the time.

When he come to watch it quite a while down the line, we only had SD and BT Sport HD not 4K.

Upon ringing VM, the Tivo box was unable to run 4K Content and they argued black and blue that we had signed up to a SD package not HD.

Had to pay another £10 a month i think for HD content and they wanted £100+ for a V6 Box to run the 4K BT Sport.

Asked for a transcript of the sales call to be told it was more than 6 months ago so they couldn't do any thing.

Totally miss-sold but didn't spot it until too late.

Keep at them!
