Organising recordings into groups and series

Hi,

I was always able to arrange my 300 odd recordings of the entire series of Cheers into series and from 1 to 20 in each but now I find that all the yellow button does is organise them by recording date so I now have no idea which series or where I was when I left off.  Has something been changed in the layout/functions recently or am I missing something obvious.  I am sure that the blue button used to help but apparently not now.

Help please!

Desperate Cheers fan  😞

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

In the "All" view you get the recordings by series and episodes.

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

I'm not entirely sure I follow. Pressing yellow alternates between sorting by date & by name.

Are you saying that series are not getting grouped into folders in your "my shows" view?

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

Thnaks for your reply!

No, I recorded them ages ago and they ae still in the same folder, but it is what happens inside the folder that seems to have changed.  Previously they were organised into groups by series and at the top I could choose which series to look for, 1,2 3, 4 etc.  But now they are all together, just arranged by the date of cording but no further options or series groupings. That has only happened this week.

Also previously there used to be a line opposite each recording showing that it had already been accessed and how far along they had been played.  That's gone too and it was very useful.

Now I can only see which series a recording is in by opening it up and looking at the series and episode information , which is pretty time consuming compared to the instant access and info before.  Very disappointing!  😞

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

Thanks for your reply!

By "all" do you mean all the recordings I have made or just those specific ones, i.e. Cheers, and if so how do I locate the "All" option with in a folder, please?

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

I think the blue button used to do that for me too, but it doesn't seem to now!

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

Press "My Shows" on your remote and you get a variety of views on the left, choose "All" (not "Recordings"), go to the Cheers group and you get the recordings by season and episode. Pressing the blue button gives you added recording information, i.e. day and date, plus what's available On Demand..

Re: Organising recordings into groups and series

Aha!  I have got it now - you just have to choose ALL in the left column before entering the folders on the right and the full details by series etc as I mentioned earlier is back again!

Thanks for making an old man happy again, guys!  😁 👍
