Orange light on v6 box

Hi,

I guess my V6 box is faulty because I can't turn it on. I can see only an orange light on the box. I've tried to turn off and on the box and I removed the power cable and plugged in again and nothings changed. The internet connection is absolutely fine.

Can anyone tell me what can be the problem and how can I solve it?

Not sure if this works for the V6 but try turning the power on at the back whilst holding down the power button on the front for about 30 seconds.  If it does work it should reset your box but you'll lose all your recordings.

If no joy then it's a phone call to VM!

The orange light is not a good sign, you need to report it via the help line.
It is very likely that the box is screwed and you will need an engineers visit to confirm this and supply a replacement.

Lines are open 8am-10pm , 7 days a week

Unfortunately, I still have the same issue with my v6 box. I would call the virgin media help line but my language knowledge is not so confident.

Hi I’ve got this problem and have to constantly turn my box off at the wall and wait 15 minutes for it to come back on. It also doesn’t record any of my recording whilst on stand by with a blinking orange light. I spoke to someone at virgin who told me to turn the settings to always on. This isn’t good enough. Any more bright ideas from someone.

Thank you for getting in touch.

|'m sorry that you have been experiencing the same problem with your V6 box as well. 

Your TV V6 box will always record any shows you have scheduled to be recorded even when the box is in standby mode. 

I'm sorry that this hasn't been the case and I have sent you a private message so I can take a closer look at your account.

I’ve got no WiFi in my house

I’ve got no WiFi in my house and I can’t get I touch with anybody from virgin. I’ve been trying for nearly 3 weeks
