New V6 Box has slow picture speed. An amber Thumbs up, may be not suitable for High Def pictures.
Guidance suggests to check out Broadband Network connection. Diagnostics show failed TCP Port connection test. Suggests Open TCP Ports 80, 8080, 80, 7287, 7288, 8081.
I do not know how to do this and am slightly nervous of tinkering.
I am using my own Powerline (TCP 600 Mbps) to link the Router and the V6.
Any ideas gratefully received.

The powerline is the most likely source of speed issues you are having.
Try wifi - the port errors are misleading.

Thanks for your post on the forums, I am sorry you're having this issue with your new V6 box.
I can see you've had some help from the VIP's of the community, has their advice worked?
If the WIFI signal is still inefficient and the issue is still persisting, can you try using an Ethernet cable to see if this fixes it?
This will tell us if it is solely a WIFI issue or if there is a deeper problem.
