OnDemand stops after ad

Hi my V6 box does not carry on after the ad for on demand film, so no film 😞

What happens when the program stops - does it black screen indeterminately? Or crash out back to the menu?

Is this on Sky Cinema or on PPV films?

And does the same thing happen on non-film programs - for example ITV, C4 or C5 CatchUp that also often have leading adverts?

BBC iPlayer works, when I select the movie and it starts the virgin logo works and the first ad....then it stops and doesn’t carry on. I can go back to menu straight away so v6 box not frozen, I’m on 500Mbs broadband so no faults there and it’s connected by Ethernet

Can you try ITV, C4 or C5 CatchUp and see if the same thing happens. They use the exact same OnDemand platform as Sky Cinema, so this might help establish whether this a problem with VOD in general, or Sky Cinema films specifically.

It stops just after ads on itv

Ok, so it's a VOD (Video On Demand) issue rather than Sky Cinema specific - good stuff.

Have you tried restarting your box just the once? If that has failed, would you mind checking your box software version? Home > Help & Settings > System > System Info. There is a V6 code drop doing the rounds, so it may be useful to see whether you've had this or not.

Catch up TV not working

BBCiplayer working but no other catch up apps work i just get a standard Virgin TV advert and then it stops ?? I have phoned them 5/6 times to resolve. Phoned again today to be told by rather a rude man that they will phone me back within 2/3 days ??? This service has not worked since April time maybe ? Sick to death of phoning them and dont have the time to be sat on hold for 30mins at a time !
