OnDemand and Catchup not working

Hi.

I have the full Virgin Media Oompf bundle, which includes two V6 boxes.

My primary V6 box in the living room has suddenly stopped playing any OnDemand or Catchup services (except Netflix, which works fine). I can click on the film or tv programme i want to watch and if there is advert, this plays, but the film or tv never starts, i just get a blank screen, no error message.

I've been through the forum, tried restarting the V6 box, switching the mains power off / on and switching off / on the power to the box on the wall, with no success.

My second V6 box in the room upstairs, plays catchup / ondemand without issue.

Any thoughts?

Hi GWoodcock_uk68,

Have  you tried swapping the boxes over as it may be either a faulty box or a signal fault.?

Have you checked to see if the V6  box has lost it's network connection?

Using your TV box remote:

  1. Select the home button
  2. Use the directional buttons to select Help & Settings
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Network
  5. Select Connection in progress: get status or Connect to the Virgin Media Service now

Thanks for your response.

If I switch the boxes over, the issue remains downstairs on the V6 box that worked upstairs and continues to work upstairs on the V6 box that didn't work downstairs. Hope that makes sense.

I've been on the network settings page multiple times and tried all options. The Port Test fails, but reading the threads, this doesn't appear to be a valid test.

Either you have a 4K TV but are not using a HDCP 2.2-capable HDMI port, or you have a mix of 4K and non-4K equipment.  Following these instructions should resolve it:

Hi NPP,

Thanks for your response, modifying the Video Output Format fixed the issue.

It's strange, as i've had Virgin TV running on the same TV for the last 2years, without issue and this issue only occurred in the last few days.
