On Demand V6 Error 603

I cannot access On Demand so cannot watch a movie through Sky Cinema or box sets. I just keep getting a 603 error. I’ve rebooted the V6 box. I’ve even unplugged it and plugged it back in. Also rebooted the hub. I’ve done all the service checks and diagnostics and everything says there are no issues. Any ideas?

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

Is this a recent problem?

Can you watch OnDemand from, say, ITV CatchUp?

Are you watching on a 4K UHD TV?

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

Yes, apps like Netflix work fine. Also noticed when the box starts up, in the top left of the menu there is a “network availability (c133) some features are not available right now” message. But this disappears after about 10-15 seconds.
And yes, it is a 4K tv, but not a well known brand like Samsung or LG.

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

This sounds potentially like an HDCP issue.

Try the advice on https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-error-codes/603 and see how you get on.

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

I’ve already powered the box off and back on twice. I’ve rebooted using the restart option from the menu, and also removed the power completely.
Ive got a 2nd V6 box in my bedroom that is connected to a regular HD tv and that one is giving me the same error. Think it may be a service issue from Virgin themselves.

Re: On demand not working

My on demand service is not working. There is not an issue with my internet as everything else is working fine. I keep getting an error saying that it is ‘unavailable at the moment’ with a code 603.

I have tried all the online help ideas including rebooting my box 4 times. I have been on hold for customer services for an hour.

Can anyone help me get this issue fixed?

Have you tried the advice on that link to change your video output to 1080?

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

Yes, I have tried that. Same problem. And as I said, I have a 2nd V6 box in my room that is not connected to a 4K tv and it is doing the same thing.

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

I have the exact same issue.

Box rebooted, no change.

Resolution changed, same issue.

Occasionally an advert will play before the error message but the On Demand itself will not play

Re: On Demand V6 Error 603

Also had it play an ad for about 30 seconds before it bombed out with the error. How long have you been having this issue?
