Hi there
ive had no picture or sound on any channel on my v6 box for some time now, if I’m lucky I might get stactic, other times nothing at all. All the connections are in and I’ve reset the box but all it says is no signal. Internet is fine 🙂
i watch mostly streaming services so have left the issue for some time but now I want to record some shows but I’m unable to

So what is "it" that says "no signal"? If this is an error from the VM TV box, it should have an error code/message associated.
Can you view OnDemand programmes?

Oh yes sorry
In the text box in the middle of the screen it says there’s a problem with the signal and has the error code W02
on demand works fine

W02 is a signal fault. Possibly due to eternal wiring.
Check on 0800 5610061 for any known area issues, If nothing is listed then you need to call VM and log a fault. It's likely to require a tech visit to resolve this.
It's 150 from a Virgin landline or mobile, or 0345 454 1111, option 2 (Faults) When calling Faults ignore all the options and don't press any buttons then you should be placed into a queue and an agent should pick up the phone and book the tech for you.
Or wait a day or two and a member of the Forum Team should pick this up for you and arrange a tech visit.
