No sound through TV box

Hi,

I have no sound coming through my Tv box.

The TV volume is fine, I have changed the HDMI cable, I have rebooted the box.

I've tried to call, and was on hold for an hour before being cut off.

I managed to get an automated test on my system to be advised that they recognised that there was a fault.

Sadly don’t have a fix for you but I’m having exactly the same issue! Tried rebooting both v6 box and the hub, changed the HDMI port and tried a different cable all with no luck. Can’t get anywhere with dialling 150, just keeps pushing me to go online and cutting off the call.

Really frustrating!!!

I've had the same issue in the past. The solution for me was to do a bit of spring cleaning.

It's like spaghetti junction behind my TV. I unplugged leads and HDMI cables from all devices, and from the mains.

Straightened and tidied up all the cabling, especially the VM coaxials, then made sure they were all inserted correclty and left all equipment off for around 30 minutes.

Switched on and hey presto I had sound again.

Thanks everyone.

Ive solved it (well, my wife did)

Good old IT resolution. Switch it off and switch it on again.

I did it myself to no avail. My more patient wife switched everything off for 15 minutes, switched back on and it’s all back on again now.
