No signal v6 after source change

When I change the source on TV from the tivo v6 to dvd, or any other  input source then return to the tivo input, a no signal message appears. I then lose current viewing and need to switch the tivo on and off to get a signal back. Any suggestions?

Connect the V6 to another HDMI input, if that doesn't work try another HDMI cable.

It's possible that there's no resolution as some TVs don't handshake all that well with the V6.

It was the hdmi lead... Tried a new one and the problem of no signal was fixed... Thanks for the advice
