No channels - TV in a different room

We have a Virgin TV V6 box but the TV itself is in a different room to the where the internet is (the front room). The front room is a bedroom because we are students in a student house, the living room is further back and so we can't connect the tv to the wall to get channels. The tv is connected to the box so we can get netflix/iplayer etc but we can't get live channels.
I hope this makes sense, we really don't know what to do/or understand how it works.

I can't seem to get hold of an actual human being to ask. Do we need a really long lead to link the tv and box to the hole in the wall to get channels? Is there a way for someone to come and fix it? (We'd have to ask the landlord obviously).

Re: No channels - TV in a different room

As you've found, all Virgin TV boxes need to be connect to a coax cable to work fully.

You can get this resolved. To install a second coax connection when it's not part of an install is a £99 call out charge. This is the standard charge for any rewiring request.
