No Channels - Box Needs Activating

Hi

I set up my box yesterday night and have set up the things like Netflix and Prime fine.

I just can't get any channels on ordinary TV.

It's a new Tivo V6 Box.

I'm able to access channels via Virgin Go, but nothing on the telly.  I get Error code 7400, but it's been over 12 hours since the box got set up and I still don't have any channels.

How do I call to get the channels activated, please? I've been on hold for over an hour now waiting to talk to someone who can help, but if it can be done from here, that'd be awesome.

Any help appreciated, thanks folks!

Also to add that I have gone through the trouble-shooting online and there are no problems - all green ticks.

Hi kitkatcol,

VM have recently started pre-activating their equipment, and the box should call "home" and be activated within 30 minutes, however sometimes this fails and the advice is to sign into Service status at the top of this page and run a test against the TV box you are installing. By doing this we’ll be able to reboot the box or put you in touch with the right team.

The old method was to reboot the V6, and if the channels are still greyed out then you need to phone to get your box activated. 0800 953 9500.

You will need the box serial number, and your account and area number.

You could also try contacting  New accounts and Set Up for them to complete the setup and activation.

That would be options 1,1,1 and 4 if dialling 150 from a Virgin landline , or options 1,1,2 and 4  if dialling 0345 4541111 from any other phone

That's great advice, thanks!

I'm finally through to someone who took my serial number and he's trying to send a signal down to my box now. The first attempt didn't work, so he's trying something else now.
