New V6 Box Keeps Getting An Orange Light

We have a new V6 box but everyday it keeps getting an orange light and then reboots. We keep missing out on programmes because the box is rebooting.

Becoming a joke now.

Done all the hard resets etc but it still comes back. Any chance of a new box?

Re: New V6 Box Keeps Getting An Orange Light

Hi orlenew,

the box shouldn't keep rebooting. have you run any tests on the box via the Check service status at the top of this page?

An amber (ornage) light to the left of the Virgin Media logo (solid or blinking) means you don’t have full network connectivity.

To ensure your V6 is connected to the hub  go into Help & Settings > Settings > Network > Connect To The Virgin Media Service.

Make sure the test doesn't fail.

After it has completed the test, perform a restart by going Help & Settings > Clear or Restart TiVo Box > Restart.

If that all fails then you either need to wait for a Forum Staff member to pick up your post or contact VM TV Faults

Just send  a text with a description of TV Faults  to 07533 051809. Your message will go into a queue and a representative will respond to you as soon as possible. It may take a few days.

You can also call  150 from your Virgin landline, or 0345 454 1111, but best to call at 8am to avoid call queues.

Re: New V6 Box Keeps Getting An Orange Light

When you say "hard reset" do you mean a full factory reset or just a mains reset orlenew?

If not can you try this please

Turn off with the rocker switch at the back of the box

Hold the + and standby buttons together and then turn the box on and wait till you see the welcome screen.

Done all that before. Just trying it one last time.

Starting up then takes 20 minutes and we end up watching Netflix instead.

On the 3rd starting up now and then it repeats.
