Need For Speed

It says online to stream 4k UHD HDR it takes at least 25 Mbps but all I ever see on my Netflix smart app and virgin Netflix Iis a maximum of 15.25 Mbps and it was same before covid drop .So what's the truth about speeds cause I'm easily confused.

Thanks anyone who takes time to answer .g

Re: Need For Speed

That's the maximum Netflix currently use:

During the last few months, Netflix had throttled performance to stream at a maximum of 7.62Mbps. It was still possible to get 4K HDR pictures and Dolby Atmos surround sound, but quality was slightly curbed.

As reported by Forbes, it has now reverted to its pre-lockdown peak bandwidth of 15.25Mbps.

Re: Need For Speed

BT Ultimate streams at 27Mpbs when using the BT app - so different sources have different requirements.
