My box is new & takes 30 mins to get past welcome screen

Hi 

I have two boxes but the main one gets stuck on the welcome screen for way over 30 mins how do I get it replaced (the various contact formats available seem to be worse than useless).  Not impressed so far if this persists I may just ask for it to be taken out

No it just goes onto the welcome screen & then reboots

The V6 needs an internet connection as well as the incoming coax feed, how is it connected to your homehub?

It loads up & works ok after about 30 mins so must be connected correctly in my view, do you agree?

Probably a poor wifi connection V6's seem to "prefer" being on the 5GHz band too. Try it on an ethernet cable - long 20-50m runs are cheap. Or try and improve the wifi signal at the V6 location with better quality wireless equipment. Or powerline adapters might be an option as well.
