I will soon be moving house nearby, and presently have a V6 box (on which I have recordings that I would like to keep for now) and V+ box (with no essential recordings). My questions are:
1. When I move will I have the option of retaining the V6 box with its recordings intact?
2. Will it be possible to replace the V+ box with a newer box? Ideally I would like to replace the V+ with a 360, but not if that means I lose the recordings from the separate V6 box.
Thank you for your help

1: Yes, this is perfectly normal for any home move where you take your services with you.
2: TV360 is a completely different software platform to TiVo-which runs your V6. If you convert, your hard drive is reformatted and you will lose all recordings & series links.
TV360 & V6 are identical hardware, the only difference is the software - and it's totally differrent.

I doubt very much you have a V+ box, as these ceased being supported on the system in 2021. A 500Gb TiVO maybe.

You cannot have one box on the V6 TiVO platform & another on the V360 Horizon platform. The likelyhood is they will upgrade your V6 TiVO to V360 (the recordings will be lost) & you will be given a V360 mini box to replace your second box. I think VM have ceased offering additional multiroom boxes on the V6 TiVO platform now.

Must admit, I assumed V+ was a typo for V6, however it's a valid point and I may have mis-assumed

Thank you for that answer and my apologies! The TiVo is my second box, which probably replaced the V+ box I had previously. Yes, I think they will want to move me completely to the V360 which I may be happy to do in due course but I don't want to lose my recordings yet.

Sales staff will almost certainly be induced to encourage a TV360 migration, but be clear that conversions are voluntary.

Thank you for that reply, which is good news as I would prefer to keep my current primary box for now on moving rather than transfer at this stage to the TV360 and lose everything. As for the second box, it seems that if I still want it, I will need to keep the TiVo (not V+!) box rather than upgrading, which is fine as it works perfectly well.

Thanks and I will bear that in mind when speaking to them!

You can keep your second box as a TiVo, or upgrade it to a V6 if you wanted to - but you'd lose the recordings on that box by doing so.
You can treat any conversion to TV360 as a separate issue entirely.
