Moving 2nd box

Hi

We have a 2nd "old" virginmedia TV box in a room upstairs with our router. I need to move the TV box into another room upstairs & possibly move the router to get better coverage.

A couple of questions......

Can an engineer visit to do this work during the current lockdown?

Assuming its not free (as I'm asking for extra work to be done), how much will this cost?

Many thanks

Re: Moving 2nd box

Hi this would cost £99.

Virgin techs wouldn't do this at the moment as they are by law only allowed to do essential maintenance/Installs/repairs

Re: Moving 2nd box

Adding to this, if you wish to move a box to a room that already has a connection box but no box fitted is the cost the same?

Re: Moving 2nd box

Hello

If there is a connection there you can try the box in that room too see of the connection is live, if it isn't then yep a engineer will be needed and the cost will be the same it is a flat rate.
