Missing Cannels second box

Hi,

I have a V6 box downstairs and have signed up for HD channels.

Upstairs my Dad wants to watch channel 999 and also Amazon Prime. These channels are not available upstairs on the bigger boxes which they provide. Is this right? or should he be able to get the 2 channels upstairs too? we have the channels downstairs.

Hi Kerry,

Channel 999 is available on the old Full House (now discontinued) bundle, and the Maxit package.

If you are on either of those then try the following:-

Using your remote control  on the second box click on Home Help & Settings > Help > Virgin T> go up to the top of the screen then TV Care and press OK >  Missing Channels.? > Refresh my channels list

You've mentioned channels, but also referred to Amazon Prime - this isn't a channel, but a streaming app (just like Netflix, YouTube & the BBC iPlayer). Channel 999 is one of the UHD channels, so let's go from the base up here.

I suspect - but you may want to confirm by checking on https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-box - that you have a TiVo & a V6,

If so... the TiVo doesn't support UHD which is why you won't get channels 228 or 999 (VM UHD) or 531 (BT Sport Ultimate)

The Amazon Prime app is one of a few that is also only available on the V6 and not the TiVo.
