Re: Massive Pixelation

I've had pixelation for months and don't know how to get it resolved as we're advised not to call.

I use Freesat

In the meantime my bill has rocketed as the loyalty bonus has ended.

Re: Massive Pixelation

A little confused by your message, if you use FreeSat then that will have nothing to do with Virgin Media.

If you are unhappy about you bill, maybe look at your contract end date you might out of contract and able to negotiate another cheaper contract.

Re: Massive Pixelation

Hi,

thanks for getting back.

What I meant was that, to view anything on HD, I use Freesat on my TV instead via my old Sky Dish

For example ITV HD breaks up all the time on my V6.

My contract is already up

Re: Massive Pixelation

I see, makes sense now.

I would call Virgin Media tomorrow, I've actually had two very good experiences calling them during this difficult time.

Explain the pixelation issues and try to negotiate a new contract at the same time.  You might need to be prepared to leave if you don't get a deal you find acceptable

Good luck, let me know how you get on.

Re: Massive Pixelation

They had to come out check the main box in the street. Eventually they put in a powered splitter as the signal was weak by the time it got round the flats. They're supposed to be replacing the main cable that runs to the building as the original one is out of date but that was 2 months ago!

Re: Massive Pixelation

Hi Loosecanons,

I'm sorry to learn that you're experiencing poor picture quality.

I appreciate it is still early, but have you been in touch with us regarding the issue?

If not, just give me a shout and I can look into this for you.

Kind regards,

Beth

Re: Massive Pixelation

I have 3 tivo boxes.

Two are fine but, the main box in the lounge, show pixelation in practically all HD channels from the day of installation (end of march)

This box runs from hub 3 via splitter which, I think may be the issue as the other two run with straight cables from outside.

Please send some one to fix it,  we are not getting what we pay for.

Re: Massive Pixelation

HI igadiz, thanks for contacting us and we are sorry to see that you are having issues with the service and this is not the experience we want you to have with us. Can you confirm if you are still having issues with the set top box? We can see that there is an intermittent fault in the area which we are working hard to resolve, The fault reference number is F008105744. Kind regards Chris

Re: Massive Pixelation

t is a problem for the box that comes from the splitter, the other two boxes are fine.

Alas, now our 500mbs is gone terribly bad.

The router rebooted by itself last night and our download speed has been les than 1mbs since  Upload seems fine
