Just installed new WiFi box and now TV is showing it is not connected. Why?

Followed all instructions but now TV isn't connected. Checked all junctions and all seems good. There was no problem with replaced WiFi box so not getting all service expected from TV now!?

Tried to speak to somebody on phone but when finally connected line went dead.

Assuming you have either a V6 or a TV 360, have you changed its WiFi setting to the new WiFi name (SSID) of the new broadband Hub?

Hi Oldmanwrs,

Which TV set top box do you have? You can check <<< Here >>>

The reason I'm asking is you've posted in the TIVO forum, but the TIVO doesn't need a VM hub to connect to the internet to update it's EPG and play On Demand as it has it's own inbuilt modem.   It doesn't need the internet to watch the channels.

If you have a V6 or TV360 box then they need to be connected to Virgin broadband, they won't work with any other ISP.

If you have either the V6 or 360 boxes then you need to input the SSID and password from your new Virgin router.

Thanks for that it makes sense, but problem is now I don't know how I to change setting! It was all set up by engineer originally so I will look into it. 👍

If you can confirm which box you have - use this page to check - someone on here can advise you where the menu option is.

(And move the post to the right forum, so others can benefit)
