Is Virgin anti god / satanic ??

Freeview and Sky both have TBN channel and sky in fact have a number of other faith channels too, free to view on both platforms. As it should be, this is very foundational bedrock content that should be available to everyone.

im shocked to learn that Virgin, despite customer requests going back to 2015 have still not added TBN and the other faith channels to its service. If it’s a cost issue virgin should absolutely absorb 100% of the costs and go out of their way to make sure this content is available on all packages, all these faith based channels operate on a non profit basis so I can’t see the cost to add them to Virgin to be much. There is simply no excuse for it.

There is just a single faith channel, the God channel, on Virgin. This is not good enough, please add TBN and the others, and create a new category under the TV guide labelled faith. At the very least add TBN UK.

I wish I realised earlier, in out of my cooling off period now. Looks like I’ll have to get sky installed and just throw the TiVo box in the bin and just keep paying Virgin despite not using their service. If this is genuinely what it takes then so be it.

Wouldn't recommend chucking the TiVo, as if you're considering at the end of your contract to leave then you'll be made return it, failing to do that would result in a charge for the equipment.

It's up to the channel owners to approach Virgin and pay to broadcast on VMs network, so take it up with them.

Re: Is Virgin anti god / satanic ??

What's interesting is that if you do a little digging TBN itself could be classed as illegal in the UK

British broadcasting laws prohibit religious organisations, political parties, local government and trade unions from running national analogue terrestrial stations. Some religious radio stations are available in certain areas on the MW (medium wave) or VHF (FM) wavebands; others transmit using other methods, some of them nationally (such as via digital terrestrial TV broadcasting, satellite and cable).

Although one might argue that as they are not run in the UK but merely beaming in content from the US, that they might get round this restriction.

BTW doing a little digging into TBN and you come up with news stories such as this:

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2119493/Private-jets-13-mansions-100-000-mobile-home-just-d...

So maybe you should ask yourself just what the TBN founders are in the business for, to Promote God or earn wealth?

TBN isn't analogue, there is no analogue TV anymore and unfortunately the rule preventing religious broadcasters on national terrestrial platforms was never extended to digital.

For a lot of these preachers it's just a lucrative career. They may not even believe what they're saying but as long as the money keeps rolling in, mainly from gullible and vulnerable people, they don't care.

How about no.
I don't want to be paying for rubbish like this. It should be like any other specialist channel and if carried be a subscription addon only

I read a that said the 100 most wealthy TV Christians in the US had not contributed a single cent to people in dire need due to Covid-19 while many Hollywood celebrities had donated 100's of thousands of dollars, makes you think

Re: Is Virgin anti god / satanic ??

Problem solved as I got Sky Q installed today. Will keep the V6 box in the garage for when my contract with Virgin ends, great broadband, terrible tv.

must say the sky q is much better usability wise and also plays nicely with the Denon receiver with HDMI control which the TiVo box never did.

Happy Camprer once again 🙂

god bless.
