Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

I now have the Amazon Prime app on my V6 box and was looking forward to watching tennis. Unfortunately when I try to watch replays of matches, I get the “insufficient bandwidth" error message. My Internet speed is very good (over 200 mbps). I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thanks, Mike

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

What does the speed test on the box say?

Go to Help & Settings > Help > TV Speed Test

Once it's complete I think you can press 'Play' on the results screen for detailed results.

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

Hi there. Thanks for getting back to me. I've done the test and it gives me a big green thumbs up and says "connection suitable for TV services". No option to press "play". Cheers

Although there is no option for it - if you press 'Play' it should replace the 'Connection suitable for TV services' with the actual speedtest results.

Ok. Got it! Download speed 146.3 Mbps and upload speed 20.9 Mbps. There's also a little timer symbol that says 41.4s

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

So I have no idea why you're getting the Amazon message - at most the Amazon app would need somewhere around 50Mb for UHD, and much less for HD.

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

I've found some of the sports replays do not work on the V6 - tried different boxes on different peoples accounts and the same issue.

Post one or two of the actual events for others to try.

I think the error message is false.

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

An update to this. I found BT customers raising the same issues on sport replays.

So I've just tried some comparisons and on the V6 box I get 'A Problem Occured' or 'Insufficient Bandwidth' messages on most sports replays - and the same programmes give 'Insufficient Bandwidth' errors on the BT set-top-box.

So it seems Amazon need to fix the apps they are providing to BT and VirginMedia.

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

An update to the above.

While the replays don’t play through the V6 app, the Prime Video app on my Panasonic TV plays the replays OK.

Re: Insufficient bandwidth on Amazon Prime on V6 Box

Mine play fine on the tv and the other devices I have - but all fail the same on both V6 and BT T4000.
