I keep getting an error when trying to watch Amazon video

I can’t seem to watch Amazon Video through the app on virgin tv, can anyone help?

Which error message and number do you get?

The most common ones are 603 and 604, if you have either of those then follow the advice <<< here >>> 

You could also state the make and model number of your TV to help us further

Just to add to the questions already asked!

Can you view other OnDemand programmes or use streaming services such as iPlayer or YouTube? If your issue is internet connectivity, those would also be problematic.

If your issue is related to 4K/HDCP issues, then errors such as 603/604 can be the result, but again - other VOD assets would also be affected by this.

Knowing what the specific error is, and whether other OnDemand/streaming services work, will be the next things to check.

Hi There

I can open Amazon Video and search but when I try to watch something it says "something went wrong try again later, go to Amazon/videohelp.

If I go into the Amazon app on my smart tv instead of through my Virgin Tivo box it works ok..

Sorry to hear of the problems with the Amazon Prime app via your set top box, we appreciate you taking the time to contact us via the forums and welcome to the community.

 

From looking at your connection and equipment everything appears to be within the spec's and ranges we'd expect. As asked by the forum members, what connection doe's your set top box currently have? You mentioned the app works fine on your smart TV, is this connected differently?

 

If you have more than one box, does this happen on both boxes?

Hi to everyone who kindly took the time to reply with advice etc.

 

In the end I rebooted my Tivo box and everything seems to be working fine now. I did have some connectivity issues last week and engineer came out and fixed that, so it could have been that repair that knocked things out a bit.

All sorted now, thanks again!
