I cannot watch my virgin tv recordings on my MacBook laptop - is this right?

It seems I can watch my tv recordings on my apple phone and/or ipad but NOT my Macbook. Why is this? The reason I wish to do this is because I wish to watch my Virgin Media recordings on my home projector and I need an HDMI input to this (which I can take from my Apple Macbook).

The Virgin TV Control app which allows you to do this is only for mobile devices, smartphones and tablets, not laptop and desktop PCs.

Re: I cannot watch my virgin tv recordings on my MacBook laptop - is this right?

Hi Ernie - thanks for your help - it confirms what I've spent quite a while trying to find out!

So many thanks for this...

Sooo ......   the only way forward is to buy another V6 box and pay the rental - would this be about right?

Thanks once again for any/all advice!

Kind regards - Colin

My daughter uses one of these for connecting her iPhone to the TV ...

May be "cheaper" 3d party ones available at the usual online places
