I wish to use a longer hdmi lead so I can move my television to another place in the room, can you tell me the specifications I have to look out for when I buy this lead?

Re: Hdmi lead

HDMI 2.0 is the standard required for 4k

I work for Virgin Media and my posts are my own opinions

Re: Hdmi lead

The only cable you should look at is "High speed". Ignore everything else that says "Standard", "Ethernet", ultra high speed or 4K. There's no such thing as an HDMI cable version such as  "HDMI 2.0 cable" as the version numbers refer to the HDMI connections equipment, e.g. your TV can have HDMI 2.0 inputs but your HDMI cable is just an HDMI cable.

One day if you buy an 8K TV and get 8K sources via HDMI 2.1 you'll need an ultra high speed HDMI cable.
