HDR and V6

I can not play Netflix HDR content through my V6 box !

HDR plays perfectly on my Smart TV and I have the correct HDMI cable and port on the TV.

I have contacted Netflix  and Virgin and neither have solved this issue.

Can you ?????

Re: HDR and V6

What model tv do you have?  You sometimes have to enable HDR on the tv for a given HDMI input.

Sometimes labelled UHD Color on the tv.

Have you enabled 2160p pass through

Re: HDR and V6

Sorry - you comment confused me - you say HDR content plays on the tv via the V6 - but will not work from the V6 directly.

On the V6 Tivo - please list the ticked options you see in "Settings -> Video Output -> Video Output format" ??

also, when in Netflix on the V6 - find the film 'Mowgli" - next the the film rating does it say [HD], [Ultra 4K] or [HDR] ?

Still need the tv model number to help further - the make alone doesn't help.

Re: HDR and V6

Hi.. sorry about confusion.

What I mean is if I go to Netflix via the V6 box all content plays except HDR. When I select an HDR programme it goes to 1 or 2% as though loading and then the screen goes blank. To get back to the TV output I have to switch the V6 box off and the back on again.

If I go to Netflix on the TV app all formats play ( including HDR ! ) this is with the V6 box on OR OFF.

LG 43UH620W

2160

2160p ( pass Through )

Mowgli shows as HDR ( plays via TV Netflix but not using the V6 Netflix app )

Re: HDR and V6

it could be netflix turning deep colour on, try turning on deep colour for that hdmi input  and putting the box in and out of standby if the screen goes blank
