Re: HDMI switch

Hello

With a HDMI switch you will have to make sure it is HDCP 2.2 also depending on the TV and how far away the 2nd TV is from the box, as HDMI cabling is dependent on length and resolution of signal for example if you want 4K signal you are limited to around 3m of cable, 1080 will be limited to around 15m, the maximum distance you will need to make sure you have high quality cables.

Have a look at https://www.bluecinetech.co.uk/hdmi-max-length/

It is not something that VM recommend as it is something not supported by them but personally have a look at https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fosmon-Automatic-Switching-Mountable-Switcher/dp/B07DKDXV8Y

Re: HDMI switch

I always recommend using a powered device. You will almost certainly have to provide your own USB power adapter.
