Hi,
I have recently got CAT6 installed in my house. I am trying to make virgin media available in another room (less than 10m) using HDMI extender over ethernet. The equipment I am using is a cheap TX and RX off Amazon and a TIVO 6 box
I have connected it all and I am not getting any video signal in the other room. I am getting sound and can see the Virgin Media menus but there is no video from the channels. I have tried a laptop streaming IPlayer and it works fine over the same equipment.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks

This is almost certainly caused by your HDMI extender not supporting HDCP 2.2 which is required.

Your issue is the copy protection. The output from the V6 uses HDCP 2.2. Any kit that does not comply with this standard in the video loop will not handshake with the V6, hence the video cannot be decoded.
