Green screen

 turned on my TV about 2 hours ago and have been watching this green screen of death ever since. I called 150 to report it and the guy was nice and friendly but I feel he had no idea what I was talking about. He has scheduled a virtual engineer call back but after reading through these forums I'm not holding out much hope. Can I just request a new box or do I have to go through all these checks first?
