Full screen msg saying V6 box is broken 3hFix

About half hour ago my V6 box turned off with a full screen message in white against a green background saying the DVR needs fixing it will take 3hours please do not reboot the DVR but turn off the TV.

What is this? I rebooted and it came back on?

Oh dear!

Sounds like you have encountered the dreaded “green screen of death”.

This is a symptom of a failing or completely failed hard drive. The only option is to have the box replaced.

Engineer came today and replaced the box.

Nice guy called ASH ,he observed Covid protocol and even removed his shoes on entry.
