For a number of months now I have been having an inconsistent issue with the TiVo box where - when the TiVo box is first switched on it flashes to a black screen every few seconds/minutes but only for a few seconds. I did get an engineer to call but the “thing” worked without blacking out. I was left with a new HDMI cable - which I promptly installed but is has made no difference at all.
It is so aggravating I am looking to cancel my whole account and just use Netflix etc (which will be much cheaper). BUT - If someone can tell me how to deal with issue without having to reset the TiVo box every time I want to use it - I shall be most grateful.
to be honest the only reason I am prevaricating is because I hate the whole calling in, to Virgin it is way too painful even to find a telephone number!
