Folders

New to V6 but long standing virgin customer. On old tivo there was a way to show recordings by date order without being in a folder but I can't seem to be able to do this as the blue button isn't there. Annoying!

Re: Folders

TiVo & V6 both run the same software, so anything you have on one box, you'll have on both.

Do you mean the option to "sort by date" by pressing yellow?

Go to My Shows and select the Recordings menu item on the left hand menu. The blue button will then turn groups on or off as required.

Re: Folders

If the left-hand menu is hidden, you'll need to enable it by choosing green (options) and deselecting "hide left hand menu".

That unlocks the option for "recordings", which in-turn unlocks the blue button to toggle folders on/off

I can't recall if that's enabled by default, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Re: Folders

Well that's weird.  The blue button that wasn't there is now there!

Maybe the system is still updating as only installed last night.

You didn't mention that originally 😉

Not that it should make any difference, mind. Once the software is installed, it's there. In this case, ho hum.
