Error code S101

My box has no tv guide and i get the S101 error. Tech services in asia have failed to rectify anyone having a similar issue

This is indicative of your box not having a working internet connection.

Which box do you have... is it a TiVo or a V6? Check here if you're not sure. The 2 boxes connect differently so advice varies.

  • Wifi connection good and i have the optional powerlink which was working before

So the V6 needs two connections.

1: Incoming co-ax carrying your TV signals. Non-negotiable for your box to have live TV.

2: Internet connection via your home-hub for all online stuff, which includes TV guide updates.

How is your V6 connected to your homehub? Ethernet is best, but reliable WiFi can work too.

Follow Home > Help & Settings > Settings > Network, look in the top-right for your connection status - including WiFi strength if appropriate. What is shown?

If the box shows connected, then clicking "Connect to Virgin Media services now" at the bottom will often resolve issues.

Done all that and tech services did to. Just gone for full factory settings to see if it works

Found the issue. The cable has come out of the wall box. Thanks for the advice and the prompt of signal connectivity
