Error S102 - Unable to acquire channel info

Hello,

I completed a QuickStart installation yesterday. My broadband and one of the V6 boxes are working fine. My second V6 box is displaying error code S102 - unable to acquire channel info. I’ve rebooted the box and checked the cable connections several times. Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

I’ve tried calling Virgin Media several times but keep being cut off. I’ve also tried the text message support but no one replies.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Error S102 - Unable to acquire channel info

Hello

Has the box been connected either wired or wirelessly to the hub ? as the V6 needs to be connected to the internet to get the program details.

Help & Settings > Settings > Network > Change Network Settings > Other options > Connect to Wifi

Hi Mike

Thanks for your reply. Yes I’ve connected it wirelessly to the hub.

Re: Error S102 - Unable to acquire channel info

And you have also connected the RF signal lead to the second V6 box too?

It needs three cables connected  -  the power lead,  the HDMI lead  and the  RF signal lead which also goes to the main V6 box and the Hub.

A fourth lead for the Ethernet is required if not using wifi.

Yes, power lead, HDMI lead and RF signal lead all connected. It’s connected wirelessly to the hub so no Ethernet. Thanks

Re: Error S102 - Unable to acquire channel info

Finally got through to customer services. The problem was the box had not been paired to the VM system. For some reason my equipment was showing as only 1 box not 2. All sorted now. Thanks for your input.
