Error Code 7400, despite activating TV

Hello,

 

Engineer came over today to assist in moving my hub - all well and good. however I've plugged and set up my TV, only to find I can't get access to the channels that I've paid for. I've searched and the problem seems to be activation, however my box has already been activated (I received a activation text). This was quite a while ago now.

Any ideas? Thanks and happy new year.

P.S I have turned it off and on again!

It sounds like your box may have been disconnected from the VM network for some time - depending how long ago "a while ago" was, this may be the problem. Boxes can be deactivated if they're not used for some time.

https://www.virginmedia.com/help/virgin-tv-error-codes/7400 is as good a place to start as anywhere, if you need to call this in, the activation line is 0800 9539500. Have the serial number handy.

I was stuck in an infinite test and enter 7400 loop over and over... thanks for the assist!
