Error 7400

Hi, 

Is there anyone online this evening that can activate my TiVo V6 box? 

I have installed it all okay but I've got the Error 7400 code. I have already tried to activate it via the automated setup over the phone but I just get a text sent to me, with a link back to the online help/support.

Obviously, there's no-one available to speak to due to Covid-19 closures, etc

Hi Chris,

You're probably best leaving phoning until 8am tomorrow when they first open again and are least busy, however you could try the following.

VM have recently started pre-activating their equipment, and the box should call "home" and be activated within 30 minutes, however sometimes this fails and the advice is to sign into Service status at the top of this page and run a test against the TV box you are installing. By doing this we’ll be able to reboot the box or put you in touch with the right team.

Try rebooting the V6, and if the channels are still greyed out then you need to phone 0800 953 9500 to get your box activated. You will need the box serial number, and your account and area number.

You could also try contacting  New accounts and Set Up for them to complete the setup and activation. That would be options 1,1,1 and 4 if dialling 150 from a Virgin landline , or options 1,1,2 and 4  if dialling 0345 4541111 from any other phone

Hi Dave,

I tried calling but lost the will to live after being on hold for so long, so I'll try again another time

I've also rebooted the box manually but it has come up with the same error message. The check service status link didn't allow me to reset my box from there.
