Downgrading TV packages

As VM have told me they want to increase my monthly payment by 25% which therefore breaks my contract we have no intention of paying the greedy people at VM this outrageous increase for the very poor service we get,  Yesterday Mon 20 we had no internet or TV for at least 8 hours we need to know if we can downgrade the TV
