Discoloured picture

We've got issues with our second box. Sound is working fine, however the picture is different colours.

It was previously not showing the picture at all, and just a green screen which would then fade to black.

It is now displaying the picture but what looks to be in negative colours?

We've tried restarting the box and changing the hdmi cable, however nothing seems to be working. Anyone have other suggestions?

This is an example of what we are seeing on every channel

Hi @JosephC89

Have you swapped the V6 boxes over to see if the fault follows the box?

Also forgot to mention, the main box is working fine with no issues, so I do not think it is a connection problem.

The television is also working fine through its individual apps so I know it is not a problem there either.

Have you swapped the HDMI cable between your 2 boxes? That picture looks very much like an HDMI fault to me.4

Do you have the same problem with OnDemand programmes as well as live TV/recorded? That's an excellent test of whether it's the source input causing the problem, or the video output.

If the video output, I'd wager an HDMI issue.

Hi, yes I tried that, I actually had a brand new HDMI cable which I tested with both boxes.

One worked, and the other still had the distorted picture which has been the same with three separate HDMI cables now, so unsure as to what is causing it?

I've tried unplugging the second box, have it now plugged in where the first one is and it started working.

I've then taken it back to its first location and it is now working again with no faults at all. Picture is back to normal so this seems to have worked!

Thank you both for your help!

Joe
