Disable Prime Video.

I now have confirmed the availability of Prime Video on my V6 box.

I was actually told by friends on Facebook as the webpage and twitter VM newsfeeds are so bad (2yo news on the webpage).

The availability is confirmed by the overflow of the My Shows index with expired Series Links+ now available on Prime Video.  All I need is to start a 30-day trial.

As I have no desire to subscribe to Prime Video, is there a SIMPLE way to tell the V6 to ignore Prime Video please!!

Martin.

Re: Disable Prime Video.

But surely that disables all the other free streaming services?

I only want to turn off any streaming services I don't subscribe to!

virgin/amazon want people to sign up so they make more money. no way will they give an easy option of hiding it all. if customers keep seeing something 'advertised' they inevitably want to see what they are missing. not in your case it would seem, but companies know that if they badger the customer enough plenty will come around to the idea.

Re: Disable Prime Video.

Yes I had thought that might be the case.

Its was such an obtrusive flood of programmes though. Not the case for other subscription streaming feeds already offered like Now TV or Sky catch up.

Maybe its the tie between original showings on channels I have in my 'package' and the archive service just settling out. I hope so as hat initial flurry of unavailable repeats was annoying.

Re: Disable Prime Video.

Hi jamesofmerton,

Thank you for your post.

Sadly there is no way to disable it at this point in time.

Re: Disable Prime Video.

Thanks (I think) Martin.

As I said, hopefully, it's just an early aberration of overlap between Prime Video and current factual channels and their programmes.

It's just strange that Series Link+ ignores channels, not in my package, but does streaming services I have no subscription for.

Another one to add to the list of TiVo anomalies. 😜

Re: Disable Prime Video.

Hi there pdfbt40,

When setting up your Series Links - you can choose to record live only and to ignore Streaming 🙂

Hope this helps

Cheers
