If you cant use the clear /reset how can you delete all the recorded programs

You delete them using the My Shows view. Highlight each individual programme or series-folder, and press "clear" on your remote.

I have a bad habit of pausing a program and then changing channels and then when I go back it goes back to live TV.
So I nearly always record a program as well as watching it.
Then over time they build up with recordings I have already watched live.
