DVR box has a serious error showing since 10am today

My DVR box has been showing a serious error, said not to reboot and wait 3 hours.

It's now 6pm so contacted virgin who said they would sort and check service status in 30 mins, still not working.

The green screen "DVR has detected an error" means your V6's hard drive has failed, the box will need replacing.

The only way to "sort" this is to arrange a tech visit who will swap the box out for you. Was it an offshore faults agent you spoke to, by any chance?
