DVR Green Screen Problem

So my Virgin TV just switched off and came up with the starting up screen. Left it for a bit but nothing happened so we rebooted the boxes. Ran test online but says all is ok but it isn't. System said installing so left it to it just as I thought we were getting somewhere this green screen appears telling me a serious problem has been detected and this will take 3 hours to fix. Anyone come across this before and will the problem rectify itself?

Sorry to say, this means your hard drive has failed and your box will need replacing.

To arrange this, call VM on 150 (or 0345 4541111 from any other phone), and choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service".
