Connecting TV box if using media hub in modem mode

Morning campers

quick question

i want to use my own wireless router in the house.

To do that, I understand that I set the Virgin Media Hub 3 to modem mode. Using 1 of the LAN Sockets on the media hub to connect my own router to. Correct so far ?

I also have Virgin TV and am wondering where I connect that to once I change the hub to modem mode.

Any thoughts on that would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Colin

Re: Connecting TV box if using media hub in modem mode

You would connect the TV box to your own router, once the hub is in modem mode only the single socket that your router connects to is active.

That's great.

Another thing I just realised. I also have a landline that plugs into the Media Hub. That stays there I assume ?

Thanks

You need to connect the router's WAN port to any of the hub's LAN ports. It's possible that you'll need to reboot your router.
