Clarity about 2nd Tivo box?

I've been offered a second hand 2nd Tivo V6 box, but reading through forums etc there seems to be a lack of clarity about how this needs to be connected to be fully-functional.

From what I can understand, the options are:

 LAN OnlyLAN & Co-Ax
Linear TVNY
Make recordingsNY
Watch recordingsY (made on 1st box)Y
Streaming servicesYY

Is anyone able to confirm the definitive answer please?

Re: Clarity about 2nd Tivo box?

Hello

I am afraid that if the equipment that isn't supplied by VM then it cannot be connected to their network, the 2nd hand Tivo box would have been de-activated, VM will not activate 2nd hand equipment as all boxes require a valid subscription and activation.

All boxes require a connection to VM's network by coaxial connection to be able to receive the TV signal as well as a network connection if you want to play recorded programs from the 1st box.

Regards Mike

All equipment is owned by VM. If the V6 was offered for sale and you were to buy it then it's a case of handling stolen property.

You have been offered or bought a stolen box which will never work, a lesson that what it cost was a waste of money
